I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
